Students welcomed to Brewton-Parker College with Baron Week Fall semester began August 23

MOUNT VERNON –New and returning students blazed through Baron Week, Brewton-Parker College’s Orientation week/week-end, August 18-22, and Monday, August 23, began the first day of the Fall 2010 semester on the Mount Vernon campus.

Activities during Baron Week included paddle boat races, sand volleyball, worship services in Saliba Chapel and the Briscoe Center, a fishing tournament and concert at Jones Lake and a President’s Welcome with a Cookie Social at the President’s home on the day of move-in, August 18.
The Brewton-Parker College administration, faculty and staff welcome the students to campus and wish them a healthy and successful semester. Classes at the Newnan Center also began August 23 at 8 a.m.

Brewton-Parker College is the only accredited four-year Christian college in south Georgia. With its main campus located in Mount Vernon, the college also offers bachelor’s and associate’s degrees at its three external sites in Newnan, Norman Park and Liberty County.
