BPC Chili Cook-off Teams sought for Oct. 23 fundraiser

MOUNT VERNON— Brewton-Parker College invites chili cooking teams to enter its Third Annual Chili Cook-off.
Save the date of Saturday, October 23 for a fun, family time at the Mount Vernon campus where you can cast your vote for the Best Chili in the Surrounding Area. Last year, 15 teams participated, and Stuckey Baptist Church was voted Best Chili.
To register your team for the chili cook-off, call Jackie Smith at 912-583-3255. This year’s community event will feature live local entertainment, kiddie rides and carnival games, face painting, paddle boat rides on Jones Lake, the Historic Village to tour, celebrity judges and concessions by ARAMARK, Fred Stokes Foods and the BPC Student Government Association.

            Brewton-Parker College is the only accredited four-year Christian college in south Georgia. With its main campus located in Mount Vernon, the college also offers bachelor’s and associate’s degrees at its external site in Newnan.
