BPC Chili Cook-off Teams sought for Oct. 23 fundraiser
MOUNT VERNON— Brewton-Parker College invites chili cooking teams to enter its Third Annual Chili Cook-off.
Save the date of Saturday, October 23 for a fun, family time at the Mount Vernon campus where you can cast your vote for the Best Chili in the Surrounding Area. Last year, 15 teams participated, and Stuckey Baptist Church was voted Best Chili.
To register your team for the chili cook-off, call Jackie Smith at 912-583-3255. This year’s community event will feature live local entertainment, kiddie rides and carnival games, face painting, paddle boat rides on Jones Lake, the Historic Village to tour, celebrity judges and concessions by ARAMARK, Fred Stokes Foods and the BPC Student Government Association.
Call Jennifer Blaylock or 583-3210 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information. This event is a fundraiser coordinated by the BPC Women’s Fellowship. All proceeds will go towards the purchase of a new electronic sign for the campus.
