MOUNT VERNON—BPC Freshman Sarah Eishen is the recipient of the 2010-2011 United Parcel Service (UPS) scholarship. Eishen was notified of her selection of the scholarship earlier last week, said Shannon Mullins, Director of Financial Aid.
Eishen was selected based on her academic achievement and financial need. The scholarship totals $2,700 and is for one academic year.
Eishen, originally from Guyton, Ga., is a resident on the BPC campus in Mount Vernon. She is a business major. She plans to pursue a career in business, and would like to go into forensic accounting after college.
“It’s nice to have a good faculty/student ratio at Brewton-Parker College. The professors are concerned about the success of their students,” said Eishen. “Another thing that’s nice is having my sister here at Brewton-Parker, too.”
Brewton-Parker College is the only accredited four-year Christian college in south Georgia.
