Barons Soccer opens with scrimmage August 14 against USC-Salkehatchie

MOUNT VERNON— The community is invited to come out to Brewton-Parker College’s Mount Vernon campus Saturday, August 14 to watch some of the finest competitive soccer around.

The Barons Soccer teams will face University of South Carolina-Salkehatchie in their first scrimmage game of the season. The men play at 4 p.m. and the women follow at 6 p.m.

Games are played on the soccer field behind the Snooks Student Activities Center at the rear of the campus. Bring a lawnchair and noisemakers, and remember to wear orange and blue.

“Come on out and cheer on the Barons -- your hometown college team!”

Brewton-Parker College is the only accredited four-year Christian college in south Georgia. With its main campus located in Mount Vernon, the college also offers bachelor’s and associate’s degrees at its external site in Newnan.
