MOUNT VERNON—For the past seven years, Michael Price has been a Brewton-Parker College student, admissions counselor Admissions Director. Monday, June 28, he and his wife Amber, also a BPC alum, began a new chapter in their life – for the Lord.
The Prices will join with Rick Garrett, a friend Price met in a youth leadership setting, to plant Epic Church in Orlando, said Mike Price. The church, a nondenominational ministry, will plant itself in the heart of downtown Orlando, hoping to help the 76 percent of the 1.3 million people living in a 15-mile radius of downtown Orlando that do not attend church on any given weekend, according to statistics given by Garrett.
“It is with heartfelt gratitude that I express my thanks for the farewell reception (last week) for Amber and me. We are humbled and sincerely appreciate your encouragement as we seek to pursue God’s will for our lives in Orlando. As we begin this new chapter in our lives, we are unable to put into words what the Brewton-Parker College family, both past and present, means to Amber and me,” said Mike Price.
Mike and Amber (Swartzlander) Price graduated from BPC in 2007. The Prices encourage the community and BPC family to stay in touch with them via Facebook and to check out the church’s website at www.epic-church.com, or email him at mike@epic-orlando.com.
Brewton-Parker College is the only accredited four-year Christian college in south Georgia.
