McAllister Hall Renovation continues; October dedication planned
MOUNT VERNON—A worker is lifted by crane to the roofline of Brewton-Parker College’s McAllister Hall Friday to restore the façade of the building. Renovations on the college’s oldest women’s residence hall continue over the summer. Work is currently underway in the lobby – they are scraping and sanding the wood floors back to their original hardwood beauty – and in the front rooms and apartment of the building. The $1.5 million renovation began last year and is funded through the generous donations of local businesses, BPC family members, foundations and grants. The BPC Women’s Fellowship’s Chili Cook-off was founded to raise money for the renovation. A dedication ceremony is planned for October 21, 2010.
Brewton-Parker College is the only accredited four-year Christian college in south Georgia.
