Student Government Association swears in new members

MOUNT VERNON— Members of Brewton-Parker College’s Student Government Association held their second meeting on Thursday, September 23 on the Mount Vernon Campus.
During the meeting, several members were sworn in. From the freshman class were Santana Lowe, Nicolasa Torres, Richard Boyd, David Dixon, and Richard Ring. Reese Simmons was sworn in from the sophomore class; Ashley Marstellar from the junior class; and, senior Dallas Wilke.
The Student Government Associate set up the committee system, meeting schedule, and discussed the remaining events for the fall semester at the meeting as well.
According to Student Government Association President, Joshua McPhatter, “I think we have assembled a group of talented student leaders. Last year, our organization did some pretty good things and we can’t wait to produce more for the student body. Our goal for this year is to be at the forefront in reshaping our beloved college for the future. We are looking forward to driving BPC forward!”
Brewton-Parker College is the only accredited, four-year Christian college in South Georgia.
