Community Lawn Sale fundraiser set for October 2
MOUNT VERNON –Brewton-Parker College’s Women’s Fellowship invites vendors and bargain hunters to a Community Lawn Sale Saturday, October 2 on the front lawn of the college’s Mount Vernon campus.
This fundraiser will help raise money to support the fiscal costs associated with the BPC Chili Cook-off, to be held Saturday, Oct. 23, as well as give area residents a large public venue to sell their unwanted home and yard items.
“With the weather turning cooler, we hope that everyone will consider cleaning out their closets, attics and rambling rooms to either set up a booth or donate some of their unwanted items to our lawn sale,” said Kelley Arnold, BPC director of news and public information. “We expect to have a large turnout of vendors and hope the community will come out and find some deals.”
The cost to rent a booth at the Community Lawn Sale is $20. Set up is at 7 a.m. and the sale is scheduled to start at 8 a.m. and end around noon.
To learn more about renting a booth (minimum size 10-feet by 10-feet) contact Mary Waalkes at 583-3110. Space fee will go toward the BPC fundraiser and seller keeps all income from sales.
There will be no security for anyone setting up the night before.
Brewton-Parker College is the only accredited four-year Christian college in south Georgia. The college offers bachelor’s and associate’s degrees at its main campus in Mount Vernon and external learning site in Newnan.
