Barons Soccer scrimmage on campus this week

MOUNT VERNON— The Barons soccer teams returned to campus last week to begin practicing for the 2011 season. Scrimmages will be held on campus Friday, August 12 against USC-Salkehatchie. The men play first at 3 p.m. and the women follow at 5 p.m.

Another scrimmage will be held Wednesday, August 17 against Middle Georgia College. The women play at 3 p.m. and the men follow at 5 p.m.

The community is invited to come out to campus to watch some of the finest competitive soccer around. Admission is free. Fans are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and umbrellas to shade themselves from the sun.

“Come on out and cheer on the Barons – your hometown college team!”
