The event, organized by the Office of College Advancement, allowed local and area churches the opportunity to welcome new and returning students, and in turn, invite students to worship with their congregations on Sunday mornings.
Praise and worship bands from First Baptist Church of Mount Vernon, First Baptist Church of Lyons and Tabernacle Baptist Church of Vidalia performed in the Cyber Café of the Phillips Student Center while churches handed out goodie bags to students.
Participating area churches included First Baptist Church of Mount Vernon, Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Vidalia, Journey Community Church of Vidalia, Tabernacle Baptist Church of Vidalia, Calvary on Aimwell of Vidalia, Church of God of Vidalia, Cedar Crossing Church of God, Cedar Crossing Baptist Church, Glenwood Baptist Church, and Stuckey Baptist Church of Glenwood.
A special thank you goes to First Baptist Church of Lyons praise band for setting up sound equipment for the event.
Brewton-Parker College is the only accredited, four-year Christian college in South Georgia.
