MOUNT VERNON—Brewton-Parker College’s Baptist Collegiate Ministries (BCM) invites college and high school students in the surrounding areas to “Awakening” on the Mount Vernon campus, March 21-23.
“The three evening service outreach is intended to be a time of discipleship and encouragement,” says Lauren Parnell, BCM campus missionary and event organizer. The praise and worship event will meet in Saliba Chapel at 7 p.m. each night.
The evenings will feature speaker Christian Chapman, a former college baseball player (who still holds his college’s homerun record) and NASCAR Chaplain who loves to re-write rap music to glorify Jesus,
“On top of that, Christian is known as ‘The Faster Pastor’ and races in Mexico’s Baja 1000 every year and also competed in a show on Spike TV called ‘Reality Racing’ where he won the whole event,” said Parnell.
Chapman is a member of the Kingdom Builders Ministries and is based out of Charlotte, N.C. To learn more about Christian Chapman, check out his website at www.christianchapman.com.
