Three Baron Student-Athletes Named 2010 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athletes
MOUNT VERNON— The NAIA has announced that 284 men's soccer student-athletes and a total of 387 volleyball players have been named 2010 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes. In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify for this honor.
Representing the Men's Soccer team is senior defender Gerard Harewood and junior midfielder Fabian Moriera, and representing Volleyball is junior setter Bobbi Boyer. These student athletes not only excelled on the athletic field this year but for their efforts in the classroom they have been named 2010 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes for their grade-point averages above a 3.5.
Bobbi Boyer - (Jr-3l, Jonesboro, GA) - 3.5 GPA as a Business Major
Gerard Harewood (Sr-4l, Port of Spain) - 3.8 GPA as an Information Systems major
Fabian Moriera (Jr-3l, Flores, Uruguay) - 3.79 GPA as a Business major
Brewton-Parker College is the only accredited four-year Christian college in South Georgia.
