BPC seeks local church participation to welcome students back to campus
MOUNT VERNON— Brewton-Parker College’s Office of College Advancement asks local churches and their praise teams to participate in a Back-to-School Bash Monday, August 22 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Cyber Café, located in the Phillips Student Center on the Mount Vernon campus.
The dessert social is held each year on the Mount Vernon campus the first week of fall semester. It is an opportunity for local churches to introduce their church and church families to BPC students. Many students discover a church “home away from home” during this event.
Churches traditionally provide desserts to feed 25-30 people and set up an informational booth about their ministries. Tables will be provided.
This year, church praise teams are invited to perform a sample of their worship music during the social. Bands may play until 8 p.m. Churches may also participate without praise team representation.
To learn more about this event and to reserve your church’s spot at the social, contact Kim Lajiness at 912-583-3255 or email klajiness@bpc.edu.
Brewton-Parker College is the only accredited four-year Christian college in south Georgia.
