BPC student body elects new SGA administration

MOUNT VERNON— Brewton-Parker College’s student body elected Jonathan D. Brown and Nicolasa A. Torres its new Student Government Association President and Vice President during annual elections April 12 and April 14.
Jonathan, 20, is a sophomore majoring in Psychology. He plans to minor in Christian Studies. Born in Brooklyn, he currently resides in Dublin, Ga. He serves as the SGA’s 2010-2012 Attorney General. “In the next year, I want to do all that I can to make our campus more student-centered,” said Jonathan.
Nicolasa, 19, is from Heidelberg, Germany. A freshman, she is majoring in Christian Studies with a Youth Ministry minor. Nicolasa serves as a freshman senator. When asked what she would like to see accomplished in the coming year, she said, “I would love to see more student involvement.”
Jonathan and Nicolasa will be sworn into their new SGA roles, May 1, 2011.
Affiliated with the Georgia Baptist Convention, Brewton-Parker College is the only accredited four-year Christian college south of Macon and north of Jacksonville, Fla.
