MOUNT VERNON—Christian Chapman of Kingdom Building Ministries in Charlotte, NC visited Brewton-Parker College and stayed from Monday, Oct. 17, to Thursday, Oct. 20. Impacting the students with his dynamic preaching and encouraging them to unite as one forefront in the battle against Satan, he led the campus on a journey of realization, recovery, and revival.
Upon beginning his quest, Chapman humbled himself before the student body claiming, “I am a messed up human being.” Through this, he stressed the importance of hearing God’s words and not his own as he preached about devotion, commitment, and love. He taught about the power of relationships in every season of life and encouraged the students to be devoted to their Christian mission and to helping one another according to the book Ezra.

| To emphasize this week’s theme, BPC’s Baptist Collegiate Ministries and Fellowship of Christian Athletes collaborated in leading the student body in united praise. |
“Jesus is in hot pursuit of you,” informed Christian pointing to his audience. Like the prodigal son, he beckoned his listeners to come and receive God’s blessings and forgiveness. “There is nothing complicated about a relationship with Jesus,” he said. “Jesus’ love is the most incredible love in the universe.” Taking his message a step further, Chapman demonstrated that love through his intensity and willingness to connect with every student he met on a deep and personal level.
"‘United’ was an amazing experience. I pray the unity will abide and mature on this campus and community. I also pray that God helps us follow up with discipleship," commented Joshua McPhatter, FCA's Director of Marketing & Public Relations and Varsity Basketball Team Chaplain.

During the final segment of “United,” he invited our own Ashlee Phillips to give her testimony on her own journey in Kingdom Ministries, a discipleship program called “The Experience.” She described the amazing and mysterious ways in which God provided the funds for her trip and the different people she met during her journey. “It was an experience that changed my life,” said Phillips. “I will never forget it.”
Christian Chapman departed from Brewton-Parker College on Oct. 20. While home with his wife and three sons, he informed all who follow him on Facebook and Twitter that over 100 decisions—either for salvation or rededication—were made for Christ during his stay. “I love that campus and miss everyone already.”
