MOUNT VERNON— The Reverend Wesley Woods was the featured guest speaker during Brewton-Parker College’s weekly chapel service on April 3.
Woods, pastor of Revelation Church in Uvalda and a 2002 graduate of BPC, spoke about, “Making a difference in the world we live in.” He explained that in order to make a difference we must first be led by the Spirit. He reminded the student body that even though they will face uncertainties and difficulties in life, they must continue to have faith. “God is able,” he encouraged his listeners, “Don’t ever give up. Complete the task. Finish whatever God calls you to do; He is faithful and able to bring you through it.”
Praise and worship music was provided by the BPC Student Government Association. Nicolasa Torres, SGA Vice President, and Madison Henline, SGA Chaplain, performed a song using choreography and sign language.
Chapel is open to the community and held weekly at 11 a.m. on Tuesdays.
Brewton-Parker College is the only accredited four-year Christian college in south Georgia.
