Spring Festival at BPC Historic Village April 28

MOUNT VERNON—Ever wish you lived in a more innocent, peaceful era? Brewton-Parker College invites you to take a break from 21st century stress and travel back to 19th century rural Georgia on Saturday, April 28, for the Fourth Annual Spring Festival at its Historic Village.
The free festival promises plenty of fun and hands-on activities for young and old. Churn butter, beat biscuits, make cornhusk dolls, enjoy toe-tapping, old-time music, and say “how-do” to friendly goats and mules.
“We’ll also have a horse and chickens to give a real farm flavor to the village,” said Dr. Mary Waalkes, curator of the Historic Village.
The village will be open from 1-5 p.m. It is located behind Jones Lake on the Mount Vernon campus, off Highway 280.
Call Dr. Waalkes, 912-583-3110, or Anice McArthur, 912-583-2517, for more information.
Brewton-Parker College is the only accredited four-year Christian college in south Georgia.
