New Faces at BPC’s Office of Student Services

MOUNT VERNON—Three new team members recently joined Brewton-Parker College’s Office of Student Services. Dr. Charlie Bass, former Vice President for Student Affairs at Dallas Baptist University was named Vice President of Student Services.
Recent BPC graduate Jennifer Wooten became Director of Student Activities. Wooten earned a bachelor of business administration degree with a concentration in management in 2012. She also teaches tap dancing at Vidalia Ballet.
Kimberly Kern recently was employed as BPC’s new Director of Housing. Ms. Kern was hired in 2011 as BPC’s Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach. Kern comes to BPC from Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, Kentucky, where she was a graduate assistant for the women’s basketball program. She also holds a master’s degree from Eastern Kentucky in physical education with a concentration in sport administration.
“I am very pleased that our Student Services division is fully staffed,” says Dr. Mike Simoneaux, BPC President. “Dr. Charles Bass, our new Vice President for Student Services brings many years experience to his position. Dr. Bass has served at Dallas Baptist University and at North Greenville University. In addition, we welcome back to the campus Ms. Kimberly Kern as our new Director of Residence Life and Ms. Jennifer Wooten as Director of Student Activities. I know our students will be blessed in many ways through our new student services program.”
Brewton-Parker College is the only accredited four-year Christian college south of Macon and north of Jacksonville, FL.
