Community Invited to 2012 Mr. and Miss BPC Pageant
MOUNT VERNON—The 2012 Mr. and Miss BPC Pageant will be held Friday, February 11 at 6 p.m. in Gilder Recital Hall. This poise, beauty and scholarship competition, hosted by the Office of Student Affairs, is part of the 2012 Alumni Weekend activities.
The 2011 Miss BPC Marla Hollis of Patterson will crown the winners of this year’s pageant.
Several special prizes will be awarded to both male and female pageant contestants. The People’s Choice Award is given to the audience’s favorite contestant, and is voted on by ballot. The Price Spirit of BPC Award is given to the contestant who attends all required rehearsals prior to the pageant, displays a Christian attitude and kindness to others at the rehearsals, and is not selected among the top four contestant winners. The Price award is given by Jimmy Price and Millie Holder-Price of Vidalia, alumni members of the BPC Class of 1996 and 1997. A $100 scholarship is included in the prize.
Mr. and Miss BPC both receive a $400 scholarship, first runners up, a $300 scholarship, second runners up a $100 scholarship and third runners up a trophy. Winners of the Interview Award and Photogenic Category also receive a trophy.
General admission is $5. Admission for BPC students is $2 for those with a valid BPC ID.
