Announcing Men of Valor
By Ashley Marsteller
BPC Staff Writer
MOUNT VERNON— Richard Ring and Pastor Robert and wife Tonia Spaulding will offer a new Bible study, starting Feb. 21 at 6 p.m., in the Briscoe Center located across the street from the BPC campus. Recognizing the need for Godly mentors on college campuses, these three leaders hope to guide the steps of young men, through Christian example and mentorship, as they mature into righteous men. Their study will cover God’s commission in the book of Joshua and is purposed to help these students grow in both healthy spiritual and physical maturity.
When asked what sparked the idea for Men of Valor, creator Ring replied, “I know what it is like to grow up without a father. I remember the elders in my church guiding me as I matured in life and wanted to give the same guidance to the young men at BPC.”
“The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord,” quotes Director of Counseling Services, Tonia Spaulding. “We will be there to help guide their steps and will be excited to see the youth grow into righteous men of God.”
