BPC Graduates Exchange Wedding Vows in Jacksonville

MOUNT VERNON—Brewton-Parker College graduates Angelica Turner and Anthony Rivera exchanged wedding vows Friday, June 8 at the Garden Club of Jacksonville, Fla.
Turner, a native of Wedowee, Ala., graduated from Randolph County High School, lettering in basketball, track, and cheerleading. After spending two years at Southern Union Community College in Ala., she transferred to Brewton-Parker College to continue her education and play basketball. While at Brewton-Parker, she averaged six points per game in her senior season, shooting 34 percent from the field and 32 percent from three point range. She was selected to the Southern States Athletic Conference All Academic Team. She is a 2010 graduate of Brewton-Parker where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. After graduation, she was hired as the women’s basketball graduate assistant coach at Georgia College and State University. She recently earned her masters’ in Middle School Mathematics from Georgia College and State University.
Rivera is the son of Anthony and Iris Rivera of Jacksonville, Fla. He has two siblings, Eric and Nicole. He is a graduate of Samuel W. Wolfson High School in Jacksonville. He is a 2010 graduate of Brewton-Parker where he earned Bachelor of Arts in Communications. He received the 2010 Champions of Character Award for his leadership and sportsmanship on the soccer field. As a defender, Anthony scored one goal while assisting four during his career as a Baron.
Brewton-Parker College is the only accredited four-year Christian college south of Macon and north of Jacksonville, FL.
