BPC’s own Vice President for Academics, Dr. Tim Searcy, took a turn as guest speaker at the November 13, 2012 chapel service. Searcy came to BPC from Louisiana, where he served in a similar position at Louisiana College. His message was based from the Scripture passage John 3:19-21.
Here are the key points about why people have a spiritual crisis:
- Light came into the world; people cannot see a crisis without light shining on it.
- People love the darkness more than the light. Darkness equals lack of Christ, truth, understanding, and wisdom.
- People run from the light instead of running to it.
- It’s not hard to know right from wrong; if people don’t wish to announce their actions, then it’s probably not right.
Erica Branch also returned to lead worship. This was the 12th of 14 chapel services.
