Lauren Hall Crowned Miss BPC 2013

MOUNT VERNON— Lauren Hall, a freshman biology major at Brewton-Parker College, was crowned Miss BPC 2013 on Thursday, April 4. Hall, a native of Covington, Ga., was selected for this honor by a panel of four judges. Along with her crown, she received a $500 scholarship, a trophy, and a sash.

Runners up were: 3rd place, Briana Walls, 2nd place, Kori Scott, and 1st place Myana Love.

First runner up received a $300 scholarship and a trophy, and both Second and Third runners up received a $100 scholarship and a trophy.

Winner of the People’s Choice Award and Photogenic Award went to Monti Winge, who received trophies for each category. The Price Spirit of BPC Award, along with $200 cash, was awarded to Alexis Moore. Award for Best Interview, along with $200 cash, went to Kori Scott, and the Talent Award, along with a $100 scholarship, went to Alasia McNeal.

Sponsored by Brewton-Parker College’s Office of Student Activities and director Millie Price, the scholarship pageant consisted of a sportswear competition, talent competition, evening gown competition, and an on-stage interview for the top ten contestants.

Other contestants included: Kenyarda Durden, Kenya Durden, Cierra Hoyle, Heather Starley, and Jerusha Yoder.
