SGA President Offers Welcome

Josh Niswonger, president of Brewton-Parker College's Student Government Association for 2002-03, is a senior from Sandersville who is a double major in Christianity and history at BPC.

Wow! The summer is already over and it is time to start another school year. I hope everyone had a good summer.

I first would like to welcome all the new students to Brewton-Parker College. It is also good to see all the returning students.  This year is going to be an exciting and historical year for BPC.

Over the summer, the construction of our new student center was almost completed, and it should be ready for the start of another great season for our volleyball and men's and women's basketball teams.

Also, another new addition was provided for the students. There is a new café in the Phillips Student Center.

We, the students, would like to thank the BPC administration for providing these new facilities.

This year, the Student Government Association is going to be more influential for the students. The SGA has many ideas for making our campus and school life better.

We are also very open to hearing any idea or concern that a student might want us to voice to our administration. Our administration is open to working with the students.

There is also room for new senators. We would love new freshmen and returning students to become involved in SGA.  One of our goals this year is to get more people involved. The more people involved means a better representation of our student body.

This year is going to be fun. I will be praying for all the students and for the upcoming year. If any student has a problem, feel free to come and express your concern to any senator or executive council member of the SGA.  We are here to serve all students.
