Teacher Recruitment Day will be in Briscoe Center

MOUNT VERNON -- Education majors at Brewton-Parker College will be able to test the job market next week.

Activities are gearing up for Teacher Recruitment Day on Wednesday, February 5. The event runs from 9 a.m. until noon in Brewton-Parker's Briscoe Center.

"We have recruiters from many school systems who are scheduled to attend," said Pat Weaver, director of counseling services.

She reminds education majors that the counseling and career services staff are available to help.

Services provided in the office, located in the Cook Building, will assist students in preparing to meet with recruiters from various school systems.

"We can assist students with writing a resume and developing interview skills," she said.
