Town Hall meeting, 'Prayer for America' planned at BPC

The Brewton-Parker College chapter of College Republicans is sponsoring two events on the campus in the coming week, announced James Hall, College Republicans president.

A Town Hall meeting featuring two government representatives is planned for Saturday, April 26, at 7:30 p.m. in the upstairs dining room of the Phillips Student Center on the Brewton-Parker campus.

State Sen. Tommie Williams will provide a review of business during the Georgia Assembly's session this spring, and Montgomery County Commissioner Brandon Braddy will offer an overview on the Board of Commissioners.

Free refreshments will be provided after the meeting.

On Tuesday, April 29, U.S. Senate hopeful Al Bartell of Atlanta will present a "Prayer for America" at 2 p.m. in Tyre Chapel, on the north side of Jones Lake.

Bartell, a Vietnam War veteran, will lead a time of lifting up President Bush, his administration and our troops in a time of prayer.

Both events are free, and inquiries concerning the meetings may be directed to James Hall at 583-3585.
