BPC music division plans Lyric Theatre Gala for Nov. 20

MOUNT VERNON - The Division of Music at Brewton-Parker College will present its Lyric Theatre Centennial Celebration Gala on Thursday, November 20, at 7 p.m. in Gilder Recital Hall. Admission is free for this evening of scenes and songs.

The evening's performance will feature the music of Rogers and Hammerstein, Lehar, Mozart, and Strauss, among others, with numbers drawn from favorites like Oklahoma, The Merry Widow, Carousel, Phantom, The Secret Garden, and Die Fledermaus.

The cast is comprised entirely of students at BPC: Theresa Beverly, sophomore; Jeffrey Brazell, junior; Sam Chafin, freshman; Steve Dawson, junior; Amanda Grider, junior; Josh Hartley, junior; Heather LeCompte, junior; Lane Snyder, senior; John Tippins, sophomore; Lisa Vincent, freshman; John Wolters, junior; and Michelle Zamaftas, freshman. The program is accompanied by Brandon Herrington, senior.
