BPC's Lyric Theater's Fall Scenes Production
on Nov. 8
Mount Vernon - The Lyric Theater of the Division of Music
at Brewton-Parker College will present the second annual
Fall Scenes Production on Monday, Nov. 8, at 7 p.m. in
Gilder Recital Hall. Admission is free.
This year's production will feature scenes from some of Broadway's
best beloved shows: "The King and I," "Brigadoon," "West
Side Story," "Hello, Dolly!"and "Beauty
and the Beast."
Audiences will enjoy all-time favorites like "Shall
We Dance," "It Takes a Woman," "Almost
Like Being In Love" and "America" as well
as a variety of other wonderful tunes from these Broadway
greats.
As a special treat, there will also be a sneak preview of
Brewton-Parker's spring musical, Stephen Sondheim's "Into
the Woods."
The student cast of 14 are: Theresa Beverly, Corinne Bird, Hayley Boisseau,
Erin Bower, Steven Dawson, Amanda Grider, Brian Hodges, Sharon McHenry, Doug
Pittman, Krista Vickery, Lisa Vincent, Dallas Wilke, John Wolters and Michelle
Zamaftas. Brandon Herrington and Jared Register provide piano accompaniment.
Other upcoming events presented by the Division of Music include fall concerts
for the Concert Choir (Nov. 11), Wind Ensemble and Jazz Band (Nov. 12), the
Choral Society's presentation of Handel's Messiah (Nov. 14), the Baron Singers'
Christmas Celebration (Dec. 3), and Lessons and Carols (Dec. 5).
