Math and Science Festival set for November
13 at BPC
MOUNT VERNON -- Brewton-Parker College's Fall Centennial
Math and Science Festival is planned for Saturday, Nov. 13,
announced Dr. David McMillin, chair of BPC's mathematics
and natural science division.
The event, in conjunction with the Heart of Georgia Youth
Science and Technology Center, is from 10-11:45 a.m. in the
Morgan-Moses Math and Science Center on the Brewton-Parker
campus in Mount Vernon.
The festival is free for all
area students from kindergarten up through high school. It
is sponsored by Brewton-Parker
College and
Heart of Georgia Youth Science and Technology Center.
Students will learn crazy math tricks, the science behind
a kazoo, and how to make green slime.
"Come and see how much fun math and science can be," McMillin
said.
