Dear Readers and Writers,

       Thank you for your involvement with Oracle.  Everyone knows the difficulties of small presses; yet, we persist because we believe in the tradition that great literature comes from the source, that is the people, of a culture, and the presentation of that literature is sometimes not respected in commercial enterprise.  We have welcomed your submissions for ten years.

       The entire staff wants you to know that we appreciate your interest in our publication.   The staff is always an amazing group of volunteer students whose hard work supports these two complimentary goals:  to provide a professional volume which reflects the great tradition of American writing, and we want your work to look good, because when your work looks good, our work looks good.

      Regretably, in these struggling economic times, Oracle is no longer funded, and we have completed our final volume.   We take this opportunity to thank each writer, artist, and photographer who has submitted work to us, and we wish you all continued commitment to your art and success in its representation.
