Disability Support Services
The Director of Counseling
Services works to serve both students and faculty by promoting
an understanding of disabilities, explaining students’
needs and helping students arrange classroom modifications
and course accommodations that will help them learn to their
potential. Eligibility requirements are listed below:
Students must present to the
Director of Counseling Services test results from a professional
diagnostician that are no older than three years. The test
results must include a diagnosis and the type of modifications
that are appropriate for a college setting. IEP documentation IS NOT sufficient. Students must
meet with the Director of Counseling Services a minimum
of once a semester to discuss their needs and progress.
Disability Support Services
is a division of the Counseling Center located in the Cook
Building on the Mount Vernon campus.
