The Writing Center -- Services for Faculty

By supporting the writing process for students, the Writing Center will also benefit the faculty in all disciplines.

  • Instructors can assign written work with confidence when they know the students will be able to get professional, institutionally-supported help.
  • By sponsoring workshops covering particularly prevalent and troublesome writing problems, the Writing Center will relieve some of the burden of teaching writing skills from the shoulders of faculty.
  • By providing records of each student’s tutoring sessions, the Writing Center may contribute another perspective on the student’s progress and level of dedication to the coursework.
  • By keeping on file the writing portfolios generated in the students’ coursework, the Writing Center can be a resource for relevant information about students’ needs and writing history.
  • Request Form - fill out and send for any student you feel needs specific attention.  These forms are located in the drop down menu on BPC's home page.
  • Response Form - automatically generated; please fill out and return immediately.
