Brewton-Parker College: A Private Christian/Baptist College located in Southeast Georgia Student LifeStudent LifeStudent LifeStudent Life

Hello Readers,

My name is Timothy Hegerich, but here around Brewton Parker, I’m better known as Jersey or The Yankee. Dr Chris Jones asked me towards the end of the semester if I would be willing to blog for the BPC website this summer. Since I love writing, and blogging is an old pastime, I was delighted to accept the task. This first entry is just something to introduce myself with and let you know who I am. So, let’s begin.

Q&A with Timothy Hegerich

Q: How old are you?
A: I am 22 years old until July 15th.

Q: Where are you from?
A: I am from Aberdeen, New Jersey. (Hint: Remember the nickname?)

Q: How in the world did you end up at BPC?
A: That’s a good question, but that needs an entire blog to itself.

Q: How far along are you in your degree program?
A: I’m actually finishing my Bachelors of Arts in Christian Studies this summer.

Q: Have you liked your time at BPC?
A: You bet… most of the time.

Q: What is your fondest memory of BPC so far?
A: That would definitely be meeting my Sweet Heart, Caroline this past February.

Q: Okay Romeo, What is your fondest memory of BPC besides that?
A: Um…Maybe forming a Squirt Gun Mafia my freshman year with Irina, or the Basketball games where I was among the Rowdies. But you know, I really did like the times where Caroline and I would take our walks around Jones Lake and do some star watching.

Q: What’s your favorite food?
A: Pizza or a Mrs. Pie from Taste of Phillie in Vidalia.

Q: How do you like your grits?
A: What makes you think I like grits…I mean come on, I am a Yankee…

Q: Are you a Christian?
A: I certainly am. I’ve been born again for close to 19 years.

Q: Do you work anywhere?
A: I kinda do…for the next few weeks I work with Campus Security.

Q: Georgia or Georgia Tech?
A: Neither, the Texas Long Horns are #1. But if I had to choose, well let’s just say I like the color red.

Q: Do you at least like the Braves?
A: Nope, I’m a Yankees fan all the way. However, we both hate the Mets!

Q: Where do you go to church?
A: I’m a pedestrian, so I Attend FBC Mount Vernon.

Q: What is your favorite Restaurant in Vidalia?
A: Rio Grande or Taste of Phillie.

Q: Do you like your professors?
A: Sure I do. I like them even more when they give me A’s on papers.

Q: Should I give a serious look at coming to BPC?
A: Absolutely.
