Hello Readers,

In my last writing I talked about some of the fun things about Brewton Parker. Unfortunately, we all know we don’t come to college for the fun. Hopefully, your four years of college are a huge investment into your future, by getting an education. At Brewton Parker you will learn from some of the best.

I’ve spent the majority of my time in the Salter building, where we have our Christianity courses. Dr. Ostrander is the chairman of that Division, and Dr. Ray and Dr. Cribb are men of God to learn from. However, come ready to write if you plan on majoring in Christianity, and make sure you follow the guidelines the professors set out.

I don’t know all the Professors at BPC, but there are a few more that I’ve known in my time here. Dr. Wallace teaches communications and his classes are always fun. Dr. Cheek is also a bit of a clown, but he knows his stuff when you’re talking about Political Science. I go to church with several Professors at First Baptist in Mount Vernon, where Dr. Jones, our Chemistry Professor, teaches the college Sunday school class. Dr. Jones is not shy when it comes to meeting and talking with students and neither are his boys Silas and Isaiah, who can usually be seen running around the cafeteria on a weekly basis.

There are so many other great Professors and plenty of degree programs available. So while fun is a good thing, the education at Brewton Parker is certainly worth a look.
