This year’s theme was entitled “Come Find Your Place on Sundae.” After selecting from a choice of seven different flavors of ice cream, students traveled around the lobby visiting with local church leaders who offered a variety of toppings for the student’s ice cream and information about their local church.
“Dr. Echols and the Brewton-Parker team enjoyed seeing students connecting with local churches at the social this past Monday,” said Dr. Billy Puckett, Director of Church Relations.
“We had a great time at the BPC church meet and greet. It was wonderful to hang-out and fellowship with the students. What a joy!” said Pastor Kevin Hammons of First Baptist Church of Glenwood.
Karl Hay, Pastor of First Baptist Church Mount Vernon commented that the event was “a great opportunity for students to get to know about local churches. It is so important that students connect with a local church while away at college.”
Puckett added, “The leadership of Brewton-Parker agrees with Pastor Hay. A vibrant relationship with the local church will be a vital part of the success and flourishing of the students at Brewton-Parker College.”
