MOUNT VERNON— On September 16, the Sisters in the Delta Mu Sorority hosted their First Annual Ladies’ Tea. This tea honored the female faculty and staff who often get overlooked on campus. The Delta Mu Sisters felt as if this was a great time to set aside to thank them for all their hard work at BPC. The ladies were served by several members of Kappa Tau Kappa Fraternity, and members of Chi Kappa Chi Sorority were also in attendance. Delta Mu President Allie French sang a lovely song and talked about the sorority, highlighting what it does do on campus and what it means to the students to have Godly female faculty and staff as role models. Sarah Bullard, Delta Mu Vice President, talked about Delta Mu’s history. Faculty Advisor, Dr. Amanda Allen, spoke on the sorority and asked for other faculty and staff members to seek involvement with the sorority. While at the tea, the ladies enjoyed yogurt parfaits, cucumber and chicken salad sandwiches, eclairs, and scones. It truly was an amazing time had by all in attendance. The Delta Mu Sisters would like to thank all those who attended and made this such a special event. They hope to continue this in the future and build on their current relationships with faculty and staff. If you have any questions about the sorority, how to get involved, or have a potential service project, please contact either Dr. Amanda Allen or Allie French.
