MOUNT VERNON— Brewton-Parker College’s Community Wind Ensemble, Concert Choir, and Voices of Truth presented their annual “BPC Fall Concert” Tuesday, Nov. 29 in Gilder Recital Hall on the Mount Vernon campus.

The Concert Choir and Voices of Truth, both under the direction of Dr. David Wilson, BPC Assistant Professor of Worship and Church Music, performed pieces such as “When I Survey the Wondrous Cross” and “Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus.” Members of both groups include: Sopranos-Alaina Alderman, Morgan Brantley, Olivia Brantley, Allie French, Carolina Murray, and Ashley Poole; Altos-Elizabeth Mathews, and Paige Norton; Tenors-Jeffrey Covington and Lance Fogle; Basses-Joseph Duke and Josh Holton. The Concert Choir also includes: Altos-Xandria Kind, Vanthe Rose, Cassidy Murray, and Hannah Wright; Tenors-Josh Daughtry, Zachary Fletcher, Austin Pounds and Michael Wesley; Basses-Kenneth Roland and Peter Thompson. Special piano accompaniment for the Concert Choir was provided by Julie Coleman.
The Community Wind Ensemble, conducted by Dr. Matthew Haley, BPC Assistant Professor of Music, offered a selection of pieces ranging from “It’s Christmas!” to “Shenandoah.” Members of the wind ensemble include: Flute-Tyra Haley; Oboes-Liz Holton and Tara Fletcher; Clarinet-Sarah Jones; Alto Saxophones- Hannah Holton and Andrew Poole; Trumpet-Morgan Brantley; French Horn-Olivia Brantley; Euphoniums-Zachary Fletcher and Joshua Holton; Tuba-Daryl Fletcher.
