MOUNT VERNON— After years of being relocated, the Education Department of Brewton-Parker college is finally “home”. Beginning Spring semester of 2017, education classes and offices were back in their original location of the Holliman-Fountain Education Center. The Education Department hosted an Open- House and dedication Tuesday, January 18 with Brewton-Parker students and faculty as well as representatives from local school districts in attendance. BPC Provost Dr. Robert Brian spoke about and gave thanks to those who had labored to restore the building followed by BPC President Dr. Steve Echols who read Psalm 27:1 and prayed over the new building and its inhabitants. “The vision of returning ‘home’ to the Holliman-Fountain Education Center has become reality through God’s blessings and the work of many dedicated individuals. Today is a day for celebrating and giving thanks,” Division of Education and Behavioral Sciences Chair, Skye Joyce, had to say about the move back into the building.
