Brewton-Parker College students of junior or senior status have the opportunity to intern with the 2018 Georgia Legislative Internship Program. Students do not need to have prior experience and the internship program is open to all majors. You must be taking a course related to the program, however. In addition to this being a paid internship, there are up to nine hours of credit available to interns.
Students must also meet the following criteria:
- be a junior or senior
- 2.5 GPA
- must be enrolled in a Georgia college or university
- must commit to working full-time for the internship with no other day classes or work
Brewton-Parker College students who want to apply must complete and turn in a completed application to Roger Byrd, Professor of Social and Behavioral Sciences, at rbyrd@bpc.edu. You can access the application by clicking here. This application must be turned in by October 6, 2017. Candidate interviews will be held the week of November 6, 2017.
Placement interviews will then be held December 11-20, 2017. Selected candidates will begin Orientation on January 3, 2018. The Georgia Assembly session begins on January 8, 2018 and could last into April.
