The dining areas of Brewton-Parker College were transformed Tuesday, October 10 in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month. The celebration, hosted by Brewton-Parker’s Cultural Diversity Committee, featured food, dancing, and a picture slideshow.
As they walked downstairs to the main cafeteria, diners witnessed colorful decorations placed to add a Latin flair to the room. Chartwells, the food provider for Brewton-Parker, served a special Latin-inspired menu for the night such as churros and taco pizza.
The celebration continued upstairs in the Lakeside Grill, where the colorful decorations continued and a picture slideshow showed students, faculty, and staff living in or visiting Hispanic countries. Students also had the opportunity to learn and participate in the Latin dance Bachata. The event offered students and faculty a fun night to let loose while also providing insight into Hispanic culture.
