On Oct. 7, the Georgia Xi Chapter at Brewton-Parker College of Pi Gamma Mu held its annual induction ceremony and banquet Saturday at the Steeplechase Restaurant in Vidalia, GA. Pi Gamma Mu is the International Honor Society in the Social Sciences.
Pi Gamma Mu at Brewton-Parker College is well-noted for their service to others both on the campus and in the local community. Among other service projects, they regularly volunteer at the Duncan McRae House in Mount Vernon, GA. This year also marks the fifth academic year that they’ve collected can tabs for the Ronald McDonald House at Memorial Medical Center in Savannah, GA.
Vance Rhoades, Professor of Psychology and faculty adviser to Pi Gamma Mu, said, “I have a great group of students this year who are highly motivated to serve and minister to others.”
