MOUNT VERNON – Brewton-Parker College welcomed a career fair for student in the Phillips Student Center on Wednesday, November 28.
During the fair, students received valuable information from local business leaders and explored their interests as they prepare for life after college. Each business leader provided paperwork and a detailed rundown on their occupation for the students. Students engaged in conversation asking questions, taking notes, and even filling out applications.
Kajarius Harris said, “Being able to come here is a great experience. It shows us life out in the real world when careers are established and just how far networking with these people here today could possibly take us.”
The career fair is integral to student success as it allows students to engage with the local community employers and build networking relationships to find a job here or somewhere else. This year’s career fair was hosted by Heart of Georgia Altamaha Regional Commission, Job Training Unlimited, Inc. /WIOA, Georgia Department of Economic Development Workforce Division, and Brewton-Parker College.
