MOUNT VERNON— Brewton-Parker College is excited to announce the addition of another member to the administrative team. On Jan. 2, 2019, Kimberly Neumann joined BPC staff as the Administrative Assistant for Advancement and Marketing. Neumann brings a variety of skills that will benefit the college as she assists with donor and alumni relations and the implementation of marketing and communication strategies.
“We’re excited for the energy and creativity that Neumann is bringing to the team. Her background in business and marketing makes her a valuable asset to the college as we continue to grow as South Georgia’s Christian College,” stated Jerusha Yoder, Director of Marketing. “We’re already making big plans for the upcoming years. We can’t wait to share how God is using this college to radically change the lives of so many students.”
Neumann is originally from Princeton, New Jersey, where she graduated from Montgomery High School. She later attended a small college in Collegeville, Pennsylvania, named Ursinus College where she met her husband, Bob Neumann.
Due to the expensive nature of college, Neumann was forced to cut her college experience at Ursinus short and enter the workforce. She had worked as a camp counselor for over five years at that point, so a daycare job seemed appropriate. Throughout this time, she put herself through classes at a local community college where she discovered her talent in Business. After this discovery, she enrolled in an online Business program at Sentinary University. In 2015, she graduated Summa Cum Laude having earned a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management.
Following graduation, she went straight into a Graduate Program at Savannah College of Art and Design where she was one of the first to graduate with a Master’s degree in Business Design and Arts Leadership. This program combined her passion for creativity and aptitude for business, fully preparing her for her new role at BPC. Before finding her way to South Georgia, she was offered an opportunity to work in Nashville with a country artist, who afforded her the chance to produce a video that aired on Country Music Television (CMT).
Neumann and her husband both have a passion for soccer. Her husband wanted to work full-time with soccer for a while but was not given the opportunity to do so until July 2018, when he began a full-time assistant coaching position at BPC. He was working a sales job in Savannah and coaching a club soccer team when he was offered the position for the BPC men’s soccer team. Neumann moved to Mount Vernon with her husband, where she discovered her own opportunity to work with Advancement and Marketing.
“I’m very excited to be a member of the BPC family,” Neumann shared. “While there were so many wonderful opportunities in Nashville, coming here feels like I’m joining a bigger mission that would impossible to find anywhere else. When I first visited Brewton-Parker’s campus and learned about the school’s mission, I knew this was something I wanted to be a part of.”
