Psalm 121: 1-2, “I will lift up my eyes to the mountains; from where shall my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.”
It is a new year and the excitement which surrounds that fact can be felt across the campus. Our classes are in session, our assignments are coming in, and our games are being scheduled. With all that is happening it is of little surprise that there are those among us who are feeling a sense of confusion concerning the year.
Our freshmen are trying to decide what field of study that they should major in. Our seniors are making plans for what lies ahead of them after graduation. All of which is completely understandable. But in the midst of the decisions that must be made, do not be discouraged but rather be reminded of this underlying truth.
Be reminded that the One who created the wonders of the universe, the One who set the planets in their motion, the One who filled the night’s sky with a countless multitude of stars, is the same One who is fighting for you.
GOD is actively working in your life, even during the times when you feel as though everything is falling apart. When you feel as though the world has you pushed up against the ropes, when all your hope is gone, know that GOD is not going to let you down.
You may get hurt along the way and you may have the bruises to prove it, but there is no force of nature that can ever overcome the power of the Almighty GOD. Now as you go about your daily schedule, walk with your head held high to heaven, putting one foot in front of the other, all while being reminded of who you are, and more importantly Whose you are.
