Matthew 11:28-30, “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.  Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” 

There are going to be points in which we feel as though the very weight of the world is weighing down upon us.  We are going to face situations that will stretch us beyond our limits. Financial distress comes crashing our way, medical maladies take us by surprise, and our hearts ache when a loved one passes away.  Life’s trek is one which brings weariness to our very souls.   

The problems of life can take us to the brink of insanity, and the weights of sin are an even greater burden.  The world in which we live is one that promises a multitude of different avenues by which alleviation of our burdens can be had.  However, there is nothing in this world that can provide rest and healing for the pains of the soul. Where shall we turn?  

Here are the Words of Jesus Christ, “Come to Me.”  

When all of your problems make you want to scream. “Come to Me.”  When you feel as though you will never get past the pain that you are feeling right now. “Come to Me.”  When all your strength is gone, when all hope is lost, when all your sins are weighing upon you. “Come to Me. Come to Me. Come to Me.”   

This is the love of our Savior.  He is the answer to our plight in life.  Through Jesus Christ alone there is strength for today, hope for tomorrow, Salvation for eternity, and rest for our souls.   

May today mark the beginning of your walk with Jesus.  May today be when you start to understand the nature of GOD’s love towards you.  And may your soul be at rest with Him.
